  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 2 pounds Italian sausage, casings removed
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • ¼ cup chopped garlic
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 2 (28 ounce) cans whole peeled tomatoes

  • 1 cup chopped fresh basil
