  • 5 bunches collard greens - rinsed, trimmed and chopped
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes (Optional)

  • Drain greens, reserving cooking liquid. Mix in red pepper flakes if desired. Use reserved cooking liquid to reheat leftovers.
