  • ½ teaspoon ground allspice
  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  • ¼ teaspoon ground dried chipotle pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons liquid smoke flavoring

Simmer until rhubarb and onion are very soft, about 45 minutes, stirring often.
