  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 (3.5 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
