  • 5 pounds pork roast, trimmed
  • 3 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ tablespoon ground black pepper
  • 3 bay leaves
  • ½ cup cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
