  • 8 ounces smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder

  • 2 (15.5 ounce) cans black-eyed peas
  • 1 (1 inch) cube smoked hog jowl
  • ¾ cup water
  • ½ cup cooked white rice
  • ½ cup shredded Cheddar cheese
