  • ¾ cup butter
  • ¾ cup white sugar
  • ¼ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate

  • 1 cup chopped walnuts (Optional)
