  • 8 ounces penne pasta
  • 1 bunch leeks, quartered lengthwise and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 ½ cups shredded Emmentaler cheese
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
