  • ¼ cup sifted all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 ounces butter
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 egg yolks
  • ⅓ cup confectioners' sugar for decoration

  • Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 12 minutes. Remove from oven and immediately invert onto a wire rack to cool. Once cool sprinkle with confectioners' sugar, if desired.
