Ingredients

  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 12 cups water
  • 4 cups diced cooked chicken
  • 1 cup diced carrots
  • 3 tablespoons chicken bouillon granules
  • ½ teaspoon dried marjoram leaves
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 bay leaf
  • ½ (10 ounce) package egg noodles
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

  • Melt butter in a large Dutch oven over medium heat. Add onion and celery; cook and stir until the onion has softened and turned translucent, about 5 minutes.
